Activity: Make a difference every day
Beaver Scouts/Cub Scouts/Scouts
You can make a big difference to global warming EVERY DAY. Draw a table to see how often you saved energy this week. Fill it in before you leave school everyday for a week and don’t forget to include the things you did at home the night before. There are lots of other ways you can save energy. Make a list and count how many other ways you saved energy this week. A printable weekly table is available.
Look at your friends’ lists. Do they give you any ideas about how you could save even more energy?

We use 155 litres of water each day on average, which is 70% more than 30 years ago. If everyone in the UK turned off the tap whilst brushing their teeth, they would collectively save as much water in a week as it would take to fill the Millennium Dome.
The table shows how young people can record the actions they have taken over a week to reduce global warming.
